The new Redondo Beach Concession and Restroom building at the new Redondo Beach Pier and Boardwalk provides four new fully accessible and abuse-resistant restrooms in an attractive building, together with a new coffee shop and showers for the divers who frequent the adjacent underwater park at Redondo Beach. The building is designed to tie in seamlessly with the new fishing pier and waterfront boardwalk, providing users with the amenities they need to enjoy their day on the Des Moines waterfront. It is also designed to withstand heavy use and abuse, and lower operational and maintenance costs for the City of Des Moines, and utilizes high-quality materials and design to encourage residents and users to care for it as an attractive and important asset to the community.
